Farm application & rearing knowledge

1. Farm layout & stocking density

(1) House dimensions: For 30,000–100,000 day-old chicks, typical house size is 50–100 m length × 8 m width × 6.4–12.6 m height.

(2) Cage placement: H-type cages are commonly placed along the long axis of the house, leaving 1.2–1.5 m central aisle for feeding, watering, and inspection.
A-type cages may require slightly wider aisles (1.5–2 m) for semi-automatic feeding access.

(3) Stocking density:

  • H-type: 300-555 cm² per chick (single-tier base area), suitable for multi-tier systems, supports uniform growth.

  • A-type: 555-722 cm² per chick, slightly lower density, easier to monitor small birds and reduce stress.

2. Feeding & nutrition

(1) Automatic feeding systems allow precise control of feed volume per chick, ensuring uniform growth.
